Funke Akindele Features Lagos Fire Service In Her Upcoming Movie Everybody Loves Jenifa

Nollywood actress and box office Queen Funke Akindele has won the praises of many as she partners with Lagos State Fire Service for a new movie.

According to reports, Funke Akindele is set to feature Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service in her upcoming film. The filmmaker is fulfilling her promise during a visit to the agency last month.

Refreshing your memory, Funke paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service at its office in Alausa in July, expressing her desire to collaborate and work with the Fire Service.

She announced her plans to incorporate fire prevention themes in her upcoming film aimed at reducing the incidence of fire outbreaks in the state, educating the public on fire hazards, and promoting proactive measures to prevent fires.

Now, the filmmaker has kept to her word by casting the fire service officials in her upcoming movie.

This was made known by the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Lagos State Governor, Jubril Giwa, on his X page.

He wrote, “Renowned Nollywood Actress and CEO of Funke Akindele Network (FAAN).

Funke Akindele features Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service in her upcoming movie, as promised.

She made this promise when she visited the agency last month”.

It is no longer news that Funke Akindele made history in January as the first Nigerian filmmaker to gross over a billion at cinemas, as her latest movie, A Tribe Called Judah, grossed over N1.4 billion. It was no surprise to many, as Funke is one of the most hardworking women in Nollywood.

Her movies in the past three years, A Tribe Called Judah, Battle On Buka Street, and Omo Ghetto: The Saga, are the highest-grossing Nollywood films ever.

During singer Dbanj’s anniversary dinner in June, Funke recounted how God used him to speak to her to keep her popular Jenifa brand.

The award-winning actress revealed that the singer was the one who encouraged her to keep the Jenifa brand on fire and had supported her financially to carry out her next project.
